About Me
I believe wellness is defined by how deeply we can honor the expression of our true nature. My goal as a helper is not to “make you better” but to help you discover that which makes you feel more alive. I would be honored to partner with you on your path of discovery.
My treatment style has been influenced as much by my formal training as by my personal life experiences; especially those encountered on my own never-ending journey to greater insight and wholeness.
My Experience
Since completing my graduate degree in 2007, I have become a licensed mental health counselor, certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction™ meditation teacher, and certified nutritionist. I am dedicated to supporting individuals who are struggling with life circumstances, challenged by limiting beliefs, coping with anxiety, depression or chronic stress, or simply have the desire to live more fully through self inquiry for personal evolution.
I started seriously studying and practicing mindfulness/insight meditation in 2009, to work through a surprising amount of anxiety that had arisen due to life circumstances. I have since completed many silent meditation retreats and trainings that inform the way I live and work, perhaps more than any other modality. I completed a 3 year training in Somatic Experiencing Practitioner™ certification and moved on to study the science and art of the Organic Intelligence™ method of nervous system regulation and trauma work since 2010. I obtained my dual degree in clinical health psychology and nutrition at Bastyr University, one of the country’s prominent natural medicine academic institutions, where emphasis is placed on the integration of mind, body, spirit, and nature.
How I Help
Working with me will reveal an integrative approach that combines the influences of interpersonal psychology, existentialism, somatic/neurobiological psychology, and mindfulness traditions. As a certified nutritionist, I will also take your physical wellness into account and offer nutrition strategies to support mental health as an adjunct to therapy, if desired.
Peace is possible.
Through private sessions, a group class, or independent study at home, you can integrate the trials of your past into a peaceful present life. We will use traditional therapy, mindfulness skills, and nervous system regulation methods all supported by a huge dose of compassion as we weave new understanding into the unique story that is the foundation of who you are.
Through this work it’s possible to develop presence and confidence; to understand how your experiences have developed the very strengths that you need to overcome the challenges that you face.

“I have seen Eliza on and off for the past several years. She has been an integral part of my mental well-being. She is knowledgeable, well read, and has an expansive knowledge of various resources to recommend. She is the rare therapist that feels both professional and familiar, so confiding in and receiving advice from her feel both helpful and comforting.”
